What Our Parents and Teachers are Saying . . .

The Rocky Mountain teachers and staff truly 'see' my child - her strengths and weaknesses, successes and potential obstacles. They see her - and they celebrate her and are dedicated to helping her be her best self. For the first time in all of our years with kids in school, we feel like we have a team working with us on behalf of our daughter (instead of feeling that we're always having fighting for her).

In addition, the 'specials' offered are fantastic. The lack of an inside gym, which we initially thought might be a negative, is actually a great opportunity for kids to spend more time outdoors and be exposed to all sorts of fun sports and activities. Hands on music class has my daughter constantly engaged, and tech class offers opportunities above and beyond anything we could have imagined or have seen at other schools.

Enrolling your kids at Rocky Mountain is offering them a great education, but it's also making a decision to be a part of a community that works together on behalf of our kids - and works together to see our school succeed.

We relocated to Evergreen from Dallas, TX in June 2017. I was very nervous because we were moving our kids from an excellent academic (GT) environment. After thoroughly researching our options and touring each school in the area, we picked RMAE. It was hands down the best choice and it's a free charter school! Our two sons, 1st and 5th, have never been happier with their school experience. The

school offers small class sizes, individualized learning, and a ton of variety. Throughout the day, our boys are engaged in interesting topics of study, multi-sensory learning activities, and plenty of breaks for play. In addition to regular academic classes RMAE has phenomenal technology, Spanish, art, and music classes, that are part of the incredible Core Knowledge Cur

riculum. There are also a ton of electives and support. RMAE teachers are excellent and their focus is EDUCATION! THERE IS NO TEACHING TO A STANDARDIZED TEST. I'm so excited to have found a school where our children can grow and excel through 8th grade. The parents, teachers, director, Dr. Ann

Hudson, and board are all approachable, helpful and so friendly. We feel truly blessed to have found this gem of a school!

My name is Anna Grose and I have been a teacher at RMAE for six years, teaching Kindergarten and 1st grade.   One of the many things I love about RMAE is the reward I get from watching students learn and succeed due to our small class sizes.   I have more opportunity to build relationships with students which is a vital link for academic success and social-emotional growth. I am also a parent at RMAE. I have witnessed the benefit of our small class sizes with my own children. I believe our school is a unique gem in our community and wouldn't think to have my children attend any other school! GO RMAE!

RMAE- a special community of its own. I was looking for a school in our mountain community and what I found was far beyond that. It’s a family of teachers, parents, students and staff all with the same goal: quality education based on core knowledge curriculum, hands-on experiences, core virtues, and service learning connecting our mountain community and the beautiful environment we are all so lucky to live in. The caring is genuine and the support is incredible. I am proud to be teaching at Rocky Mountain Academy of Evergreen.

As a 9-year RMAE parent and a 15-year RMAE teacher what comes to mind for me is dedication and passion. Every year I see the parents and teachers doing whatever it takes to bring out the best in our kids.

Teaching at a Random Acts of Kindness School has made my job an actual enjoyment. So much so, that I enjoy coming to work each day.

Often times, people make time to communicate bad news but they do not take the time to communicate the good news. Saying that we are pleased with Mrs. Grose would be a grave understatement. We heard from other families that she was a wonderful teacher and we are now experiencing that for ourselves. Our son Andrew is a student in Mrs. Grose’s class and he literally lights up when he talks about her. The other day we were talking about his first days of Kindergarten and he said, “Mom, do you know what I like about Mrs. Grose”. I responded with, “No, but please share”. Andrew said, “Mrs. Grose is kind, caring and she is very patient. She truly cares about the kids in our class. When she talks with kids you can tell that she cares about what they are saying. Mom, She has a great heart and she is a great teacher! I think I am going to learn a lot this year”.

I wanted to take a moment to share this feedback with you. Thank you for allowing me to share the feedback and the opportunity to have Mrs. Grose as a teacher.

My transformation from Rocky Mountain Academy was very smooth in Mullen High School. I finished my first trimester with four A’s and one C. I never thought my learning experiences here would create such a great basis for my learning foundation. Right now my class in high school is just reviewing greater things ahead. All my siblings, (who did not go here as long as I have), struggled while going into high school, while I have found it to be amazing. Overall I would never have been able to do so well if I did not go to Rocky Mountain Academy of Evergreen.
