Hello RMAE families!

I hope you have enjoyed a summer of making lasting memories with family adventures!  With the 2022/23 school year ready to be back in full swing, please look for our weekly newsletter, The Grizzly Growl every Monday from the school regarding happenings, updates, and pertinent information.

We are looking forward to seeing our students and families on Monday for the Welcome Back Social.  Please refer to the more detailed information in this newsletter.  Please make every effort to arrive during your designated time.  When you arrive, you will notice some exciting changes. First and foremost, the Den is open!  All of the family information and booths will be inside in the air conditioning.  Among other things, you will also see the other three buildings got a fresh coat of paint matching the Den.

We have an energetic and caring group of teachers who can’t wait to meet their students.  In addition, Renee Renken has joined the front office staff as the marketing/communications/enrollment specialist.  She has jumped in and done an amazing job learning her multiple roles.
We are thrilled you are a part of our school community.  More importantly, we are very honored you have chosen RMAE to be a part of your child’s education.  Here’s to another great year at RMAE!

Your Proud Principal,
Dr. Ann Hudson

Back to School Campus Clean Up August 11th and 12th
HELP! We need you!
Our need for helping hands has increased since our facility manager, Todd Wellman has suffered a health emergency and will be out for an extended period of time.
Our campus has undergone a dramatic transformation over the summer. Not only do we now have our beautiful new gym facility, The Den, open. The exterior of the other three buildings have a fresh look!
We need some parent help for the final beautification and general landscaping of the campus to get it ready for students for the new school year.   Get a head start on your volunteer hours- time spent sprucing up the campus counts towards your family volunteer hours!
Please see the sign up genius for a list of tasks and needed materials

A message from the parent lunch committee :

Hi parents - we hope everyone had a great summer. The parent committee spent last spring researching new lunch program options that met the needs of parents (based on the survey) and made sense for the school operationally. Unfortunately, we weren't able to secure an option for the upcoming school year. The primary roadblock was the limited number of vendors that would service our mountain-area school within a reasonable budget for parents, especially with staffing shortages and food prices being what they are currently. We'll continue to pursue any new ideas that the committee or parents may have and will update parents if new opportunities for a school lunch program arise.

Just a reminder that PTO fundraisers are separate from the school lunch program discussed above and will be offered similar to last year (Jimmy John's + Dominos).
