7th and 8th graders started the year in Art with a TASK Party. TASK Parties allow participants to play in open-ended activities and to interact with each other and with a variety of materials to create things. Each student draws a piece of paper with a task on it and the fun begins. If they finish a task they draw a new task to work on. Examples of tasks are: make a unicorn horn and wear it, make a pet and walk it, etc. Oliver Herring held the first TASK Party in London in 2002.

We have one open RMAE Board seat. The Board is the governing entity of RMAE, and meets at least monthly to discuss budgeting, achieving academic standards, strategic planning, and campus improvements as we continue to move the vision and mission forward. While all parents are welcome to submit their names for candidacy, the Board is particularly interested in candidates with previous involvement in RMAE committees and experience across Human Resources or fundraising/capital campaigns.

If you have interest, please submit a brief letter of intent by this Thursday, August 25th describing your background and outlining what you believe you can offer the school through Board service. The letter may be sent to Board Secretary Janelle Herrera at [email protected].
