Teacher Spotlight - Michele Dollar
Hi! My name is Michele Dollar and this is my second year teaching First Grade at Rocky Mountain Academy of Evergreen. I have also taught 2nd and 4th grade in the Evergreen area. I have a true passion for teaching fueled by a desire to positively impact the lives of our youth. I moved here from California about 4 years ago and LOVE Colorado and all that it has to offer! I also work for Evergreen Park and Recreation District in my spare time, where I get to spend a lot of time outdoors at our local parks and even learned how to operate a Zamboni during ice season at Evergreen Lake. In my free time, I enjoy spending time outdoors, hiking, working out, and spending time with my family, friends and my cat Sam! I love working at RMAE and can't wait to get to know all of you more this year!
It was an indoor recess kind of day on the snow day!
Kindergarten students learned a song called "5 Little Turkeys" to prepare for Thanksgiving.
1st Grade had a Wild Bear presentation on campus field trip
Third grade is hard at work earning their belts for recorder karate. Some are up to their orange belt!
The rhythm cup elective has been having a blast. We played along to "It's Raining Tacos," "Brave" by Sara Bareilles and "Nancy Mulligan" by Ed Sheeran.
A note from Renee Renken the Enrollment Secretary:

Hello All,

It has come to my attention that some folks aren't aware that depending on the size of the Grizzly Growl, because of the program I use to create the Growl- It will get truncated or shortened and you will need to expand it to see the full Growl. This is the case whether on phone or in mail on a laptop.

I wanted to make sure everyone knows about this little tidbit of information going forward. This time of year in particular we have LOTS of pictures and activities to include making the Growl especially large. There is a little spot at the end of the message that says" see full message" or "expand" and thats how you. can see the entirety of the Newsletter.

With thanks and please reach out with any questions!
