Students are engaged with their surroundings, their teachers, their peers, and their own learning. They solve real life questions using critical thinking skills, collaborative teamwork, and creative problem solving strategies. As a result of their experiences, students discover they can make an impact on the world around them and develop an enduring love for learning.
Through our small sizes we are able to 'see' every child and strive to meet their individual needs. Grade level teachers work as teams and share strengths across classrooms, and teacher aids and education specialists enable us to provide personalized differentiation solutions.
Makerspace - Collaborative, Experiential and Hands-On
Makerspace is an opportunity for students to take their learning to the next level by building a project to show what they know. This is typically a collaborative project that ties into one or more homeroom projects that can range from a STEM investigation to a hands-on social studies project.
We also provide Physical Education, Art, Music Spanish, and Technology education to all students. A part of our curriculum involves social development and community involvement, and we provide our students with numerous opportunities throughout the year to make a difference in each other’s lives, as well as in our local community.
