A message from Dr Hudson,

Dear RMAE families,
I can’t believe it’s already parent teacher conference time!  The adage of time flies when you are having fun is very true.  We’ve had a strong start to the year with lots of learning, community building, and of course fun.  Thank you to the PTO for planning another successful event. The first movies on the field was on Friday and the weather did not hamper the good times had by all.
We appreciate all the families who have planned to meet with their child’s teacher.  If you haven’t already done so, please sign up directly with your child’s teacher.  This is a great opportunity to discuss your children’s progress, strengths, opportunities, and team with the teacher to help them be successful.  We look forward to having meaningful conversations with you!
Your Proud Principal,
Dr. Ann Hudson

Teacher Spotlight - Ally Tapp
I am a Colorado native raised in Glenwood Springs, Colorado. I went to school at Colorado Mesa University in Grand Junction where I was a member of the track and field team. I graduated from CMU in 2018 and began teaching fourth grade that next year. I taught for three years at a charter in Grand Junction. I was also a head coach for the Palisade High School track team.
I moved to Golden in 2021. I've enjoyed getting to hike the many new trails on this side of the mountain. This is my second year at RMAE. This is my first year coaching middle school cross country, basketball and track. I love teaching and building relationships with students. I am very excited to continue being able to coach and teach.

Call for Lumber and Woodworking Tools for Mr. Dunbar

Do you currently have lumber or woodworking tools currently gathering dust in your garage or basement? If you'd like to find a new home for these materials and tools, Mr. Dunbar is currently looking for these items to help grow the new Woodworking Elective at RMAE. While nearly anything would be accepted, Mr. Dunbar is specifically looking for lumber (even a single 2x4 or warped piece of lumber), planes, rasps, spokeshaves, files, any sort of shaping hand tool, and smaller woodworking machines. Please reach out to Mr. Dunbar directly at [email protected] to find out how to donate.
