Teacher Spotlight - Talon Piwowar
Hello! My name is Talon Piwowar. I am originally from Minnesota where the winters are regularly in the negative degrees. I followed some family out here to the mountains of Colorado, and have never looked back. I love teaching social studies and have a lot of fun with it. My goal as a teacher is to teach students how to think, not what to think! Outside of the classroom, I am very active with my family. I love to snowboard, hike, and explore the great outdoors. I love to try new things and am pretty much willing to try most things at least once. This Community has been amazing, and I am very glad to be a part of it!
- Help spread the word about the Open House
- Save the Date - Warren Miller
- Don't forget to email the office for absences
- Dress your kids for inclement weather
First grade reading/listening to "Wild Symphony" by Dan Brown. The book has a matching app to play matching music as we read. Here, they were listening to symphonic music that resembles a stingray swimming slowly through the ocean.
Thank you to the Curtis family! 2nd Grade was able to visit with some of their farm animals at the school last week.
Geocaching After School Program
3rd Grade having a blast with the first snow of the season! One student even made their very first snow man ever!
Our second Caroling practice was a success. Such a fun way to start Friday mornings! Thanks to Jenni for being our pianist and all of the amazing moms that have been coming to help us in the mornings.
Ms Arnold's Music Class
All K-5 classes worked hard to earn their Quarter 1 FUN Day! This one was all Halloween themed. We played along to "Ghostbusters" and "Skeleton Dance" on Boomwhackers. K/1 colored a Jack O Lantern based on Music notes. We broke the spell that a ghost cast on the music room by finding all of the hidden rhythms he hid in our room!
Diligence - We can do hard things. We persevered and made origami ghosts!!
The Trunk or Treat was a great success !!
WINTER WEATHER IS UPON US!
Please dress your children according to the weather, this means: COATS, HATS, MITTS, BOOTS, as appropriate given the weather. We have outdoor recess every day regardless if it's snowing and cold or not!
Please do not forget to email the attendance line [email protected] when your student will be absent from school.

If you want to advise us of a pre-arranged absence for a future date like a trip- Please fill out the pre-arranged absence form available on our website.
Thank you for your help!

Do you know a family who is looking to make a change? Can you help us spread the word about RMAE?

We are hosting our Annual Open House for incoming/possible new families and we would love if you could get the word out about this event!
It's time to purchase your 2022-2023 RMAE Yearbook. Please use the link below to purchase your school yearbook.  The deadline to purchase is December 16th. Don't miss out on all the school memories!
RMAE is participating in an Acts of Kindness Challenge for the month of November.  Each day there will be a unique act of kindness that all students and staff will be encouraged to do.  We would love for everyone to participate at home as well! Kindness has been shown to increase self-esteem, empathy and compassion, and improve mood. Kindness can also increase your sense of connectivity with others.

This week our acts of kindness will include: Holding the door open for someone, helping someone clean up their mess, writing a positive note for someone and giving a compliment.  Feel free to ask your child what the challenge was each day and how they did an act of kindness for someone.
