Mrs. Vickery was so proud of all the hard work my students put into writing their books in hopes of sharing them at our Annual Mountain Area Young Writers" Conference. With only pre writing activities before our remote learning, students remotely worked with Mrs. Vickery and their parents to write, review, edit, illustrate and publish their stories. Here they are holding their final masterpieces! Way to go 4th grader authors! These books are truly works of art to cherish forever!

A second grade completed their "Adopt a Tree" Project Learning Tree assignment from home last week.  They deepened their awareness of an individual tree and nature by writing about their tree and doing bark and leaf rubbings from their adopted tree.

A Message from the Principal

Dear RMAE families,

The events of the past month have seemed surreal.  We have all been adapting to constantly changing information and challenges while trying to maintain some sense normalcy.  I hold out hope that each new day is better than the last.

I wish I could lay out our plan for picking up belongings, this summer, and the upcoming school year.  However, there are still too many unknowns.  I will keep you informed as we get more clarity.  In the meantime, the RMAE staff is working hard to finish this year strong.

Thank you for being a part of RMAE.  Your commitment to your child(ren) and our community is invaluable and greatly appreciated.

Your Proud Principal,

Dr. Ann Hudson
