A Message from the Principal

Dear RMAE families,

After being in what feels like a time-warp all of a sudden it’s May!  This May looks and feels very different than last year, but at least it’s warm and we don’t have all the snow.
Although we had to cancel many of our end of the year traditions, our wonderful music teachers are sponsoring a student talent show.  I encourage students to participate or at the very least – tune in and watch!  Details on the talent show details are included in this newsletter.

Way back on March 13th we were hopeful we would return to school this year.  Unfortunately, that never came to fruition.  As a result, students have personal belongings at school and our lost & found is full.  In this newsletter there is information regarding pickup procedures.  We are following recommended protocols so please make sure you read that section carefully.  To keep our families and staff safe, each class has a designated day and time.  Your child(ren)’s teachers will be there giving 6ft hugs and high fives.

We all greatly miss our students and RMAE community and are hopeful we will be able to return to in person classes in the fall.  We will keep you posted as time will tell what that will look like.

I wish you continued good health and days ahead.

Your Proud Principal,

Dr. Ann Hudson

Teacher Appreciation Week-National Teacher Appreciation Week is May 4-8, 2020. Given that our children are not physically in school, let’s honor our teachers who are working hard to keep our students learning by celebrating “Random Acts of Appreciation.”

We know things are really busy and stressful right now. We’ve put together some random acts of appreciation that will help you celebrate your favorite teachers and show your gratitude in what we hope is a fun and non overwhelming way!

  • Add a 'Facebook Frame' in Honor of Teacher Appreciation Week
Jeffco has created frames for your Facebook profile picture
(Thank You Teachers | Teachers Rock) so we can join together as a community to celebrate the tireless efforts of teachers and staff in serving our students.

  • Share your favorite photos with Teachers and Staff on your school’s social media (and your own!). Or create new photos with printable PDF versions that kids can fill out — take a picture of their creation, or scan it, and email it to your teacher, post on social media, or upload the picture to your child’s digital classroom in Google Classroom.
    Topic Ideas:
  • Record a video message or write a letter to your teacher! You can email it directly to them, upload to your digital classroom, or share a photo on your school’s social media.
