Music - Arnold (K - 8th)
Hello!

My name is Megan Arnold and I am super excited to be teaching K-8 music at RMAE!This is my 2nd year at RMAE and I am overjoyed to be teaching such rockstar students!

I graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with a Bachelor's  degree in Vocal Music Education K-12. During my time there I sang in multiple choirs under the direction of Dr. Jill Burgett and Dr. Galen Darrough. I was a member and secretary of Vocal Iron a student ran acapella group that competed at ICCA's in 2020. In 2021, I was the recipient of the Greeley Chorale Conducting Scholarship. In Spring of 2023, I had the opportunity of lifetime and got to perform Carl Orff's Carmina Burana at Carnegie Hall in NYC as a UNC alumni. (photo of me on stage at Carnegie is below!)

My music teaching philosophy encompasses students of ALL backgrounds. I strive to make music education easily accessible to any and all students. My classroom is a safe space where students will see themselves represented in the music we learn about. They will be encouraged to step out of their comfort zone while also feeling safe to express themselves. I welcome students from any and all backgrounds and walks of life and firmly believe that music can be an outlet for everyone.

In my class students can expect to be creative, expressive, responsible, compassionate, and so much more!

I offer a few fun extra curricular activities including choir (grades 2-8), private piano and voice lessons, and a holiday caroling group. If you would like more info on these, shoot me an email!

I look forward to this year and please do not hesitate to reach out with anything!
