About Mrs. Park
Hello! Welcome to 1st Grade.
I am so excited to be able to teach your children this year!
I grew up in South Dakota and have lived in Minnesota as well as Switzerland, but I call Colorado my home. I have a bachelor’s degree from Minnesota State University in finance and marketing, which led to a career in the banking industry before I made the switch to education. While in banking I was asked to teach a Junior Achievement class (financial literacy program), and immediately knew that teaching was the career for me! I now have my Master of Education degree from Regis University. I have spent a few years teaching Jr. Kindergarten as well as K-8 substitute teaching in Jeffco (including RMAE), and I taught 1st grade last year , job-sharing with Mrs. Gutierrez.
My husband and I have four children ranging from 6th grade to college freshman. In my spare time, I enjoy watching my children do what they love most (lacrosse, soccer, basketball, theater), and I also spend time reading, biking, camping, hiking, cross-country skiing, and downhill skiing – all things Colorado!
I love teaching children and am so thrilled to be a part of your child’s learning journey at RMAE!
