A message from the Principal

Dear RMAE families,

I hope this finds you healthy and sane.  I think the theme for the past week has been “adjustment” with kids learning at home, balancing device use, balancing work and many more.  For me, it’s all those and the struggle of not interacting in person with our amazing students, staff, and families. To say we miss the happy chatter and faces of our community is an understatement.  On the other hand, we know we are doing our part to support everyone’s health and well-being.

The past few days have been challenging for everyone and as we’ve learned, our remote learning will continue through April 17th.  The RMAE staff thanks you for your grace, understanding, and flexibility as we navigate our new reality.  As a team, we are reviewing and reflecting on the organizational structure while keeping the education of our students a priority.  To eliminate some overlap are also creating a schedule for live zoom sessions.  We will send out more information on Monday March 30.

Along with Jeffco, we will transition to a modified instructional schedule.  Monday will be for staff planning and learning while students take the day to complete assignments from the previous week.  Tuesday through Friday will be instructional days.  I hope you are able to truly take a break next week to recover and enjoy time with family.

Be safe and healthy.

Dr. Ann Hudson
