Last week we held our annual parade to say goodbye to our outgoing 8th grade class!
The sixth graders organized and hosted a great breakfast to welcome the fifth graders to middle school!
To celebrate their completion of Because of Winn-Dixie, a second-grade reading group stayed after school to view the movie together. They enjoyed special treats which were pulled from a party scene in the book, eg., egg-salad sandwiches, pickles, a special variety of peanut butter sandwiches (cookies), Litmus Lozenges and Dump Punch.  It was a fun and memorable evening!
The whole middle school participates in Science Innovation Day- They do projects like mentos car, stomp rocket, aerial jenga or egg drop!  They have to build their project from scratch, make plans and do journal entries.
Hey! 8th graders presented their shark tank projects today and did an amazing job! They had to create a business plan for a product they could sell to local teenagers, then present it to our "sharks" (Nancy Judge and Shelley Krane) to find investors.
6th graders playing Hyden's Surprise Symphony on Orff instruments.
The 4th Grade reading group made yarn dolls to celebrate their completion of Esperanza Rising.

Family Summary of May Board Meeting
As we approach the end of another school year, the RMAE Board would like to extend gratitude to each and every one of you.

The May Board Meeting focused on reviewing all of the end-of-year school highlights and then setting up the school for success next year with financial reviews and self-evaluations. Looking ahead to the future, we recognize that there is always more work to be done and this summer we will continue to support the school as we review our strategy to support the RMAE vision:
RMAE envisions a community of parents, teachers, students, and educational and business leaders working together to create a learning environment that encourages growth in character, academic achievement, and the love of learning, resulting in responsible, productive citizens.

We hope everyone has a wonderful summer break and we look forward to seeing you at various local community summer events. Go Grizzlies!

The next BOD meeting will be held Thursday June 8th.
