Message from the Principal

Hello RMAE Families,

I am pleased to announce we have very few staffing changes for next year.  As mentioned before, Ann Hushen and Karen Hines are starting their next adventure and retiring.  They will be greatly missed as they are a huge part of RMAE’s history and success.   Anna Grose, our current kindergarten teacher, will be moving to 2nd grade next year.  She has previously taught this grade and is excited to continue the tradition of excellence that Karen and Ann leave behind.  We have expanded and will have two kindergarten classes next year.  Mikela Schwinn is getting her teaching license and will be one of our kinder teachers next year.   She has worked with Anna the past two years and is very familiar with our kinder program.  Amanda Wellman will be the other kinder teacher.  She is currently teaching at Wilmont and comes with extremely high recommendations.  Our new Spanish teacher, Patsy Lasater, has experience in teaching K-12 Spanish both in California and Colorado.   We look forward to closing out this year with a great last week of school!

Your proud Principal,
Dr. Ann Hudson

THANK YOU to OUR AMAZING PARENTS!  We want to thank our parent community for treating the teachers and staff to a wonderful teacher appreciation week. Parents catered a full breakfast, which was enjoyed for several days.  Teachers received swag bags with treats, scented car hangers and gift cards.  Several parents also rolled up their sleeves to makeover the teacher's lounge.  The lounge was scrubbed, painted, decluttered and the old furniture was replaced by new.  The before and after photos rival that of HGTV's Fixer Upper outcomes.  The teachers are really enjoying their new space (and actually using it).  The funding for the makeover was provided through the penny wars and our generous PTO.  Our Sincere Gratitude!

Yearbooks - We have 12 extra copies for sale!  If you missed out on ordering, you may bring $20 to the office to reserve your copy.  This is a CASH only, first come, first served opportunity.
