8th Grade - Art
What we are working on now:

8th grade students are working on a Preposterous Metamorphosis drawing. They are morphing multiple animals or animals and objects to create a new species. They practiced drawing fur, feathers, and scales as a part of this unit. The final will be drawn with pencil and colored with colored pencils, showing the texture and form of the animal as well as the habitat if there is room in the drawing.

Core Knowledge Curriculum:

We are currently looking at and discussing Painting Since WWII, which includes Abstract Expressionism, Pop Art, and Post Harlem Renaissance art. Next up will be photography.
