Evergreen's Holiday Walk - Tonight! - 5:30 – 9:30 pm - Come downtown and support our students who will be performing on stage at 6:30 pm.  

Students in grades K-5 are invited to sing on the main stage (in the parking lot of Evergreen National Bank). They are asked to arrive at 6:15pm and dress warmly and festively - they are not required to wear their uniforms.

Highway 74 will be closed in Downtown Evergreen (Hwy 73 to Meadow Drive) 5:30-9:30 p.m.

There will be shuttles available from:
– Hiwan Homestead Museum
– Church of the Hills
– Christ the King Catholic Church
– Church of the Transfiguration
Handicap parking will be available in Downtown Evergreen, but must be parked by 5:00 p.m.

Our Library is Back in Business!  We would like to thank our dedicated library volunteers for the hundreds of hours spent completing the book cataloguing and preparing our Library for student/classroom use.  

This week, many classes visited the library at their scheduled times.  Students received a tour and signed codes of conduct.  For your awareness, that code of conduct is attached. (If your child was absent on library day, please have them sign and return it.)  Students can begin borrowing books next week.  Classroom librarians are still needed for 1st, 4th-Gordon, and 5th grades!  If you would like to volunteer for your classroom's designated time, contact your classroom coordinator.  Consider splitting the job with another parent or two from your child's classroom for a lighter load!  There are also flexible hour volunteer opportunities, on the library maintenance team, that will continue throughout the year.  To help with that effort, contact library coordinator Jamie Richards at [email protected].

January Hot Lunch Orders - Deadline for ordering - Friday, December 14th.  Please follow the link below to place your order, after which, your school account will be billed.  Payments may then be made on Jeffco Connect, or payment may be dropped off at the front office.

PIZZA Wednesdays Lunch Orders - 2nd Semester orders are now available for prepay in AtoZ Connect.  Checks MUST be accompanied by the Pizza form, available for download in the Digital Backpack on AtoZ or printed copies will be available in the office.  Thank you for all who are supporting this fundraiser for 7th grade trips.

Candy Cane Grams - Order Deadline 9am, Friday, December 14th - Send Peppermint Power to your friends, teachers, siblings & classmates!  Fill out the attached form (as many as you'd like), and return to the the RMAE Front Office with $1 for each message.  Candy Cane Grams will be distributed the week of December 17th.  All proceeds benefit the 8th Grade Spring Trip.  Thank you!

Cookies with Santa - Sunday, December 9, 2-4 pm - Avoid the crowds at the Mall!  Purchase NOW before they are sold out!  Annie Coppock will be taking photos of your children while visiting with Santa and Mrs. Claus. Tickets are $25 per family which includes one digital photo, cookies and hot cocoa.  Available through AtoZ Connect.

Yearbooks  - Yearbooks are now available to purchase!  Please follow the link below or find the link on our website homepage to order your yearbooks now.  When you create a login to purchase your yearbook, you will also gain access to the Community Upload.  Use the Community Upload to share your best photos with the year book team and the students.   Teachers and staff can create a login to add their photos too. We’re looking for photos of classroom life, field trips, electives, special events, etc.   Thank you for your support!

Grocery Card Fundraiser - Did you know you can EARN VOLUNTEER HOURS and RAISE MONEY FOR RMAE while you shop for groceries or purchase gasoline?  Each time you add funds to your reloadable gift card, 5% will be donated directly to RMAE's PTO.   For every $100 loaded, ONE HOUR of volunteer time will be credited towards your family's 60 hour volunteer requirement.  No need to keep receipts, track or log hours, just use the card and RMAE's PTO will do the rest!

Movies with Teachers - Thursday, December 13 -  Our second movie night of the year is coming up, and there will be lots of holiday-themed movies for the kiddos. Go to AtoZ Connect to purchase your tickets.  Proceeds from our movie nights go to classroom technology upgrades.

PTO Meeting - Monday, December 10 - We meet the second Monday of the month at 8:00 a.m. Come on December 10th and help us plan our upcoming events.

VACANT SEAT on the RMAE BOARD of DIRECTORS - The Board wishes to appoint an interested candidate to the vacant seat to serve for 1.5 years (the remainder of a 3-year term). If interested, please submit your letter of interest and short resumé to the Board at [email protected] as soon as possible, but no later than December 19, 2018. Candidates will be interviewed and one will be appointed to the Board at the next meeting on January 10, 2019. Please feel free to contact Board members if you have any questions.

Chess Wizards - New session Begins Wednesday, January 9th - 3:15-4:15 pm.  Classes are designed for beginners as well as the seasoned checkmate artist.  Studies have shown that chess enhances cognitive development, improves scholastic performance and boosts confidence.

Mad Science is Back!  Fantastic Forces - Begins Monday, January 22nd - 3:15-4:15 pm.  We all know that what goes up must come down, but did you know that gravity can be suspended in certain conditions?  This after school program will help students explore the fundamental forces of our universe, including Newton's Laws of Motion.  Let's have fun with some fantastic forces!

Adventures In Child Care (@RMAE) - Winter Break Activities - We will be open January 2nd, 3rd, 4th for Full Day Care $37/day.  Contact Lucy @ 303-912-6794.

Wednesday - 2nd: Pajama Day! The kids should come in their comfy clothes/PJ’s & bring    pillows, blankets & stuffies… we will have a laid back day of fun with crafts & movies!

Thursday - 3rd: Winter Outdoor Play Day! If weather permits we would like to spend a lot of time outside playing in the snow!  Kids should dress appropriately & have snow boots.

Friday - 4th: Movie Day - Field trip to The Elvis Theater!  We will have our own theater, kids will be provided with popcorn, a drink and a kid friendly movie!  *Additional Field Trip fee $8

Kids need to bring a sack lunch every day and dress appropriately for the weather - we will have them outdoors as much as possible!!

Coats for Kids - Evergreen Christian Outreach will be distributing brand new coats for children of all ages and sizes from December 17 - 20.  Sizes and colors will be first come, first served.  Distribution will be in Douglas Hall at 27640 Hwy 74, Evergreen CO  80439.  Monday 10AM-6PM; Tue, Wed, Thur 10AM-4PM
